Damage Free Safety Gate Installation

We were asked to add a child safety gate in this location. The requirement was that it be removable and leave no trace behind once the gate was no longer needed. To avoid damage to the post without compromising strength, hard wood brackets with a removable side were built to wrap around the post. High density foam on the inside prevents marring the painted post. The gate bracket is secured to the wood with oversized screws.. Black paint helps the installation to blend seamlessly with the existing structure. The gate is as solid as a piece of safety equipment should be. It does not draw attention to itself. Once the little one is not so little, a few screws will allow the gate to be removed without leaving a trace.
