Custom Cedar Address Plaque and Light Bracket Repair

A snow plow struck this light post over the winter, breaking one of the exterior light fixtures and tearing out the house number plaque. The fixture matched the other lights on the home, but a replacement could no longer be found. Luckily, the damage was limited to the mounting bracket, which isn't visible once the light is reattached to the post. We repaired it using part of the original hardware along with hand-fitted aluminum patches. The original number plaque still worked, but it had lost its charm. Rather than patch it, we built a new one from red cedar, chosen for its natural rot resistance and warm finish outdoors. The result is a plaque that holds up to the weather and gives visitors a better first impression as they approach the house.
